Altaussee connoisseurs know exactly which jewel joined us in 2022: The Garden Cottage of Villa Liechtenstein.

This wonderful cottage is the former gardener's house of Villa Liechtenstein. The apartment is located on the first floor of the building and has its own entrance. Here, you have everything you need for your Altaussee getaway:

Via a typical Ausseerland wooden staircase, you reach the covered, lush wisteria-covered large wooden terrace overlooking the fragrant rose garden, the stately Villa Liechtenstein, and the spectacular mountain scenery. A stone mosaic table with four chairs is the ideal spot for a morning coffee, an adorable wooden lounge chair with local linen pattern, and a comfortable sun lounger invite you to take an afternoon break.

Portraits of Emperor Franz Joseph and Sissi, who fell in love in nearby Bad Ischl in 1853, greet guests upon entering the apartment.

In the spacious foyer, you'll find a comfortable leather armchair, a fireplace stove, and a beautiful sideboard displaying relevant information about the cottage and inspirations for your Altaussee vacation. From the foyer, to the left is the living and dining area, straight ahead is the spacious bathroom, and to the right is the sleeping and working room.

The modern and fully equipped kitchen leaves nothing to be desired. Naturally, it includes a dishwasher, microwave, gas stove, as well as a dining area with sofa and Biedermeier furniture.

The living room is furnished with a sofa and a Vitra rocking chair. You'll love reading your book or pondering thoughts in the romantic Swiss stone pine alcove. If you're traveling with children, there's a crib there. Amenities include a flat-screen satellite TV and wireless internet access via WLAN.

The spacious bedroom features a king-size bed and a separate lounge sofa. The bedroom also includes a desk from which you can enjoy direct views of the stunning mountain scenery through the large windows. The comfortable bathroom is equipped with a shower and double sinks.

On the premises, there is a free parking space available. You have access to a spacious terrace with 2 teakwood loungers and a unique view of the Dachstein. The terrace with the nearby water feature is a wonderful place to spend the morning or afternoon in the sun. Lake Altaussee is approximately 400m away, a short walk. The nearest supermarket ("Unimarkt") is 800m away. Additional shopping options can be found in the nearby town of Bad Aussee, 4km away.
