Ruth's House
This is not just any house. It is the house of Ruth Zimmermann. Master tailoress, tavern keeper, art lover, Hallstatt original, and so much more.
Just as unique and distinctive as its last resident, this house is characterized by her style and her easygoing manner, with a cheeky mix of antiques, modern art, and a touch of kitsch.
Here, you will stay in the heart of the famous lakeside town, right on Lake Hallstatt. Experience firsthand the fascination of life by the water, and enjoy a unique view of the village and the mountains from Ruth's House. Experience unforgettable days where you will feel truly welcome.
With a smile, the owners say that Ruth's House was built more vertically than horizontally—as is customary in Hallstatt.
And so, you will find four floors here:
The main entrance is on the ground floor. Through a small veranda, you enter the parlor with a kitchen, dining table, and living area. Above, in the attic, you will find the living and sleeping area with a small balcony, shower, and washbasin.
The bedroom on the lower floor enchants with its lake-view balcony and stylish bathroom with a bathtub. One floor below, in the basement, you will discover a cozy sauna—still one floor above the lakeside terrace.
Ruth's House is a place for people who appreciate individuality on vacation, who value authenticity, and who are open to different living situations.
This house is our tip for a romantic getaway for two.
